Helen Yatsko, woman of faith

Helen “Baba” Yatsko, 97, of Levittown, Pa., passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, April 18, 2023. She was born March 23, 1926, in Centralia, Pa., daughter of the late Alec and Matrona Puketza.

Helen spent her adult life dedicated to motherhood and giving her children a warm and loving home. Her faith was a pillar in her life, and she was a devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church in Levittown, Pa. Helen was also a Gold Star Mother member. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her beloved family.  She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. Loved by many, she will be forever missed.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Joseph P. Yatsko Sr.; her son Joseph P. Yatsko Jr.; her granddaughter Mindy Joi Yatsko; her grandson Michael T. Yatsko Jr; and her great-great-grandson Grady L. Yatsko. She is survived by her sons, John Yatsko and Michael T. Yatsko of Levittown, Pa.; her four grandsons; her granddaughter; her eight great-grandsons; her three great-granddaughters; her great-great-grandson; and many other loving nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives who were always in Helen's heart.

A memorial service will take place from noon to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 29, at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pa. Interment will be private.
