Help for mailboxes damaged by DelDOT plows

During the recent storm, many Sussex County residents suffered loss or damage to their mailboxes – such as these along Route 9 near Lewes – created by snow flying off Delaware Department of Transportation snow plows.

There is help.

“When we receive significant snowfalls, we unfortunately see mailbox damage, especially on smaller two-lane roads,” said DelDOT spokeswoman Louise Holt.
