Henlopen Soccer Club Youth Soccer Camp returns to Cape

June 22, 2018

The Henlopen Soccer Club Youth Soccer Camp was held at the Cape Henlopen High School Bermuda grass field June 18-22.

The camp provided campers with a structured curriculum that supports daily soccer topics. The coaching staff provided instruction at the technical level and aims to transition that instruction into fun camp games centered around that day’s topic. Each day included speed and agility work provided by Henlopen Soccer Club Select Team coach and Cape Henlopen junior varsity head coach Ariel Espinoza. They also provided technical work, where the campers learned new moves or turns with ball. The camp provided goalkeeper instruction by Henlopen Soccer Club’s goalkeeper coach Scott Bleile. This year they celebrated the World Cup with their own World Cup tournament, where they played a championship match at the end of the camp.

The next camp is July 23-27. Interested players and parents can sign up at HenlopenSoccerClub.org.
