The Historic Lewes Farmers Market has special events throughout its season. On Aug. 20, the market celebrated its annual Kids’ Day with events for children and their parents, including a scavenger hunt and demonstration on providing nutritious school lunches. The market in George H.P. Smith Park is open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays through Sept. 24. The fall market takes place in the Lewes Elementary School parking lot off Savannah Road from 9 a.m. to noon, on Saturdays from Oct. 1 through Nov. 19. A Wednesday market takes place at Crooked Hammock Brewery off Kings Highway through Sept. 28 from 8 to 11 a.m. For more information, go to historiclewesfarmersmarket.org.
