Historic Lewes will participate in Do More 24 Delaware, a 24-hour day of giving that helps nonprofits raise funds and connect with new donors. This year’s campaign runs from 6 p.m., Thursday, March 6 through 6 p.m., Friday, March 7, with a goal of raising $15,000 in support of Historic Lewes.
Donors can link to the Historic Lewes History is Alive in 2025! campaign at tinyurl.com/knaamdab during the 24-hour window. Those who give during the designated hours will be entered in a drawing for a Historic Lewes gift basket valued at $250. The winner will be announced Saturday, March 8, on the Historic Lewes Facebook page.
Supporters can also celebrate the Do More 24 Delaware campaign by attending two in-person events at Sussex Tavern, located on the Historic Lewes campus at 110 Shipcarpenter St. in downtown Lewes.
The campaign will kick off from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 6, at the tavern. Guests who donate $20 or more online during this event will receive one complimentary drink, while those who contribute $100 or more will receive a complimentary drink and a souvenir mug. The evening will feature live music and a festive atmosphere.
The next day will feature Power Hours of giving from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, March 7, when donors can find the same complimentary drink and mug incentives while enjoying live music by the Blarney Pilgrims. First Friday activities will also take place across the campus, creating a vibrant evening of entertainment, community and philanthropy.
Every donation makes a difference to support the preservation of Lewes’ rich history.
