Holiday-themed classes at Milton Arts Guild to start Oct. 21

Milton Arts Guild will offer a variety of holiday-themed artmaking classes in the coming weeks. Students will have the opportunity to make ornaments, home décor and stocking stuffers before the holiday season officially begins. All classes will be held at Studios on Walnut, 310 Walnut St., Milton.

Quilling Snowflakes with Jenn Johnson will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 21. Participants will learn how to make unique quilled ornaments for the tree, using rolled paper inside a round, 3-inch globe. The cost of $60 includes all supplies and tools.

Wet Felting Trees with Sharon Davis is offered from 9 a.m. to noon, or 1 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 24. Students will learn to turn loose wool fibers into a tree that nestles into a favorite candlestick and can be removed after the holidays. The class costs $80, including supplies. Students should bring their own candlestick.

Holiday Themed Cigar Box with Ginny Barney, set for 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov.  4, is one of the guild’s most popular seasonal classes. Students will transform a plain cigar box into a keepsake holiday decoration that can be used to store greeting cards or candy. The cost of $75 includes all supplies.

Copper Holiday Ornaments with Jeanne Steck will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Nov. 7. Steck will walk students through creating two copper tree ornaments. The cost of $50 includes supplies and tools.

Fabric Holiday Ornaments with Patricia Moller is set for 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 11. Participants will create two holiday ornaments using festive fabric. The class costs $55, including all supplies.To register for any or all of these classes, go to miltonartsguild.org.
