As a follow-up to several letters recently published in the Cape Gazette, this is another plea for the developer of the Anthem community in Milton, who is the current Democrat running for state Senate, to complete his commitment to us by finishing our development as outlined in the original plans filed with the county. We have given him ample time to fix the major issues we are faced with as a community. We have not received a reason for the delay, nor have we had a response to our complaints and requests. Complaints that shouldn't need constant prompting to the developer to fulfill his duties so we, as a community, can move forward. Some of us have been here for four years, and we wait and wait, and we're tired of waiting. Some of us paid premiums for our lots overlooking the pond or backing up to the woods. In June of this year, and in anticipation of the commencement of the walking trail, we were elated to see the delivery of stones to be used as the first layer. But that pile of stones sits untouched behind four houses, impeding our view of the pond. Weeds, including poison ivy, are growing up the pile of stones, and there is no maintenance by the lawn mowing service paid by our HOA dues to do so. This mess is 2 feet from our property lines. Another issue is an area in the community that was originally meant to be a dry, flat, open space that is now a boggy wetland after dirt was removed in truckloads and supposedly placed somewhere else. For someone who is running for senator to be unable to finish his responsibilities and ditch us now that all the houses have been sold, do you believe he is responsible enough to fulfill his duties as a senator if he gets elected?
