On Wednesday, Nov. 15, we celebrate the 21st anniversary of I Love To Write Day, a grassroots campaign I launched in 2002 to have people of all ages spend time writing.
Over the years, there have been numerous success stories from the thousands of people who have participated in I Love To Write Day events and activities.
The governors of nine states, including Delaware, have officially proclaimed Nov. 15 as I Love To Write Day, and urge their residents to celebrate the day by writing. I Love To Write Day was officially entered into the Congressional Record in 2008 by Sen. Tom Carper.
My goal for I Love To Write Day remains the same as it was the day I launched it. People of all ages are encouraged to write something: a poem, a love letter, an essay, start a novel, finish a novel ... the possibilities are endless!
When people become stronger writers, they become better communicators ... and everyone wins.
