Innovative program supports Beebe clinicians’ continuing education
Beebe Healthcare is the first health system in Delaware to partner with ThriveAP, a nationally recognized organization that provides advanced practice clinicians with ongoing education as they transition to practice.
Through its advanced practice education programs, ThriveAP helps health systems enhance APC workforce development, increase patient access and improve patient care.
“Beebe Healthcare believes in the value that advanced practice clinicians bring to the healthcare system and community,” said Amanda Connoyer, DNP, APRN, CNP, CENP, chief advanced practice clinician for Beebe Healthcare. “By investing in this dedicated resource for APCs, our clinicians will be able to utilize the latest evidence-based practice guidelines to offer superior patient care and clinical experiences for their patients.”
APCs have always played a critical role in the delivery of high-quality, accessible healthcare. As states like Delaware continue to navigate a national shortage of physicians combined with an aging population, APCs have become even more important in ensuring communities maintain access to timely, convenient, clinician-led care. Programs like Beebe’s new partnership with ThriveAP create value for patients and APCs by supporting the recruitment, retention and ongoing development of these providers.
This collaboration will provide Beebe Healthcare’s newly certified and transitioning nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurse midwives with structured, evidence-based training and professional development to support their transition to practice. Through this partnership, Beebe’s APCs will participate in weekly, expert-led education sessions covering the latest evidence-based guidelines, clinical decision-making strategies and specialty-specific topics.
The three-year partnership is made possible, in part, by the local philanthropic community’s generous donations to the Beebe Medical Foundation, which will support the partnership.
“Beebe Healthcare is committed to improving access and advancing innovative ways to care for our community. We’re focused on supporting our clinicians with a learning organizational culture through continuing education on best practices to elevate the care we provide our growing population of patients,” said Paul Sierzenski, MD, MSHQS, CPE, FACEP, Beebe Healthcare chief physician executive. “Beebe is proud to be the first in the First State to offer this unique educational benefit to our team.”
