James William Hopkins Jr., retired plumber

James William Hopkins Jr., born Oct. 21, 1932, died at Delaware Hospice Center Wednesday, March 21, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Hopkins Sr. and Helen G. Hopkins; a son, Marvin Allen Hopkins; and one sister, Betty Lou Gooden. Mr. Hopkins is survived by his wife, Virginia C. Hopkins; three sons, William H. Hopkins and wife Katherine, Dennis J. Hopkins, Perry L. Hopkins; one daughter, Lana Sue West; one sister, Ann Woikoski; and nine grandchildren, Pamela Wells, Jamie Hopkins, Andrew Hopkins, Timothy Hopkins, Tabitha Hopkins, Ashley Eastaion, Jasyon Hopkins, Mackenzie West, and Landon West; and five great-grandchildren, Skylynn, Shyanne, Savannah, Parker and Jasyon.

He was a plumber for the Joe T. Richardson Plumbing Inc. in Harrington. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, March 25, at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Bay Road, Frederica. A visitation will be held Sunday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main St., Felton.
