Janet L. Warrington, retired educator

Janet L. Warrington, 78, of Millsboro, passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2024.

Janet was born in Easton, Md., Sept. 15, 1945. Janet graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1963, earned a bachelor's degree from University of Delaware and a master's degree from Delaware State University.  She was retired from the education field holding various roles, including special education teacher at East Millsboro Elementary School. She also taught at Polytech High School and Long Neck Elementary, and was the owner and instructor of Delaware Beauty College in Wilmington.

In her free time, she enjoyed visiting with family and dear friends, shopping, and playing cards.

Janet was preceded in death by her son, William Keith Brumbley; her mother, Hazel M. Thompson; stepfather, Ralph H. Thompson; and father, Morris W. Wright.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur D. Warrington; as well as several cousins and aunts, including Dorothy Givens of Seaford, Jeanette Reed of Hurlock, Md., and Betty Cummings of Seaford.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Janet’s name to a favorite charity.
