Jean Marie Cooper, school bus driver

Jean Marie Cooper, 84, of Frankford, passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, in Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
She was born May 26, 1933, in Rochester, N.Y., a daughter of the late Alfred and Minnie (Lynch) Bertrand.
Jean was a poultry grower and a school bus driver for the Indian River School District. She also volunteered her time working with children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald John Cooper Sr., who passed away Feb. 7, 2000.
Jean is survived by two sons, Donald J. Cooper Jr. and his wife Betty, and Wayne R. Cooper; three daughters, Shirley Emerson, Evelyn Hopkins and her husband Ivory, and Brenda L. Poole and her husband Carl; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, Jan. 19, at Melson's Frankford Chapel, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mariner's Bethel Cemetery, 81 Central Ave., Ocean View.
