Jereamy Hall wins Outlet Liquors 5K

Jereamy Hall, 20, of Waldorf, Md., ran a time of 16:08 to take top honors in a field of 376 runners at the Outlet Liquors 5K July 2 in Dewey Beach.

Michael Wardian, 43, of Arlington, Va., placed second overall and placed first in the masters division in 16:17.

Ninamari D'Occhio of Philadelphia won the women’s division with a time of 20:09, good enough for 17th overall. The female masters race was won by Lisa Veneziano of Fenton, Mich., in 21:05.

The next Races2Run events are the Kelly J. Fritchman Memorial 5K at 8 a.m., Saturday, July 8, at Irish Eyes in Lewes and the Dewey Beach Liquors at the Ivy 5K at 8 a.m., Sunday, July 9, in Dewey Beach. 

Dan has worked for the Cape Gazette for more than 30 years as a photographer and reporter, covering high school sports and happenings around eastern Sussex County. He won a photography award from the National Newspaper Association, and numerous awards from the Maryland, Delaware, D.C. Press Association. A Delaware native, Dan graduated from Cape in 1972 and returned as a teacher and coach in the 1980s. He retired from the classroom in 2016. He was inducted into Cape High’s Legends Stadium in 2016. In his spare time, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, grandchildren and dogs.
