Cape’s own Jimmie Allen gives back to his community whenever he can, and this Christmas time is no different as he raised $20,000 for the H.O. Brittingham Elementary School PTO in two concerts Dec. 20-21 at the Rusty Rudder.
Friday night’s concert was for all ages so students and young fans could attend, and the Dec. 21 performance was for the over-21 crowd.
Allen has toured with or opened for country music stars such as Toby Keith, Kane Brown, Chris Jansen, Rascall Flatts and Scotty McCreery, just to name a few.
Allen moved to Nashville in 2007, where he worked many jobs while living in his car and working toward his dream of having a career in country music. He signed his first record deal 10 years later.
His album “Mercury Lane” is available now on Broken Bow Records.
