Joe’s Bent Spoon family-friendly restaurant opens in Selbyville
Joe’s Bent Spoon restaurant celebrated its grand opening and ribbon cutting with the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce July 27.
Fellow chamber members as well as community members, family members and customers came out to support the new business located at 38223 DuPont Blvd. in Selbyville.
Unlike magicians who bend spoons with their minds, Joe Mac is no illusionist when it comes to preparing food for families. He has been in the kitchen creating culinary delights for Ocean City, Md.-area residents and guests for the past 20 years after completing his training at Le Cordon Bleu School of Culinary Arts in Pennsylvania. His dream was to create a family-friendly restaurant with his wife Stefanie and two children. Whether it is a special birthday or anniversary, or just a night out, Joe’s Bent Spoon is a restaurant designed with its guests in mind.
"We are very excited about the opening of our family restaurant and becoming an integral part of the community,” said Mac.
Joe and Stefanie Mac believe in supporting local businesses. The vegetables used are from area farms, and the fish is purchased fresh from the docks. They want guests to feel welcome and have a family-friendly establishment to visit year-round.
