John Besche to attend Yale University
John Besche, son of Jay Besche of Georgetown and Mary Anne Besche of Chevy Chase, Md., has been accepted at Yale University, where he intends to major in anthropology. He excelled in the rigorous academic environment of Georgetown Preparatory School in Rockville, Md.
Language and art history are among his favorite areas of study. He co-edited the school newspaper, and is the youngest person ever to become a fellow at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C. His sporting interests include fencing and cross country. Besche is also something of a world traveler, having visited more than 20 countries. Speaking five languages fluently, he is also a polyglot.
As a youngster, John lived in the Lewes-Rehoboth area. He attended Beach Babies preschool, and was active in the Little Disciples program at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church. John still visits Sussex County and especially enjoys seeing his grandmother, Dee Besche of Brandywine Assisted Living in Rehoboth.
