John J. Logullo Jr., longtime automobile salesman

John J. Logullo Jr., 82, of Lewes, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was born Jan. 16, 1942, in Wilmington, son of the late John J. and Helen E. Logullo.

John enjoyed a fulfilling career in automotive sales across Delaware, dedicating his talents to dealerships such as Colonial Chevrolet, I.G. Burton, Millsboro Auto Mart, and CP Diver. He was a dedicated member of St. Jude the Apostle Church, where he served as an extraordinary eucharistic minister. John also contributed his time to Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540.

In his leisure time, John pursued his passions for golf, fishing, and crabbing. An enthusiastic supporter of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, he relished in sports and spending quality time with loved ones. Known for his skill at the grill and his love for outdoor games like horseshoes and cornhole, John cherished moments with his grandchildren and many friends above all else. John was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

John is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Cynthia A. Logullo; their children, Sandra L. Minio and her husband Robert of Long Neck, Leslie R. Logullo of Dover, Kelly L. Pettyjohn of Lewes, John J. Logullo III of Newark, and Brent E. Logullo and his wife Nissa of New Castle; his brother, Frank M. Logullo and his wife Desi of Hockessin; nephews, Frankie Logullo, Christopher Logullo and Michael Logullo; grandchildren, Lindsay Krause, Wayne Krause, Ryan Logullo, Rachel Logullo and Mollie Pettyjohn, and her father Brian Pettyjohn; and great-grandchild, Mia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to Delaware Hospice, delwarehospice.org; or St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, stjudelewes.org.
