Joseph J. Balinski III, Rehoboth Marina salesman
Joseph John Balinski III, 78, of Wilmington, passed on Thursday, April 18, 2019, with his loving wife Jeanette and children by his side. Born Sept. 15, 1940, in the once predominantly Polish area of Browntown in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Joseph and Hattie Balinski.
Joe served his country in the Delaware National Guard and Army Reserve from 1963 to 1979, retiring as a captain. Later in life, he returned to school at Widener Law for a paralegal degree and Wilmington University for a legal studies degree.
Joe is survived by his children: Joseph IV, David, Steven, Donna and Michael, along with his two grandsons, Joe the 5th and David Jr. He will be sadly missed by his Lab, Dakota. Joe loved to fish and hunt with his sons and grandson until he became ill. Yet, he still managed to live life to the fullest and especially loved the holidays with the Balinski clan.
Private burial will be held at a later date.
Arrangements by Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis St., Newport.
