Joseph A. Trzcinski, loved clamming, crabbing

Joseph A. Trzcinski passed away peacefully at home Monday, Dec. 4, 2023.  

He was born on June 19, 1938, in Wilmington, son of the late Antoinette and Joseph Trzcinski. Joe graduated from Conrad High School in 1956 and attended University of Delaware. In his earlier years, Joe enjoyed bowling and golfing, and played in many softball leagues. He was a member of Northern Delaware Officials Association, where he refereed football and basketball. He also loved clamming and crabbing. He was employed at Haveg/Hercules/Ametek from 1958-82 and he contracted for DuPont from 1982-91. He was employed at Boeing in Essington from 1991-2001.  

Joe was predeceased by his sisters, Theresa Barczak and MaryAnn Vitalo. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Regina (Jean Murphy) Trzcinski, his three children, Steven Trzcinski (Casey), Karen Radcliff and David Fender; two grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan Fender; and his brother, Ronald (Kathleen) Trzcinski.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Wednesday, Dec. 13, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends and family may gather after 11 a.m.
