Julia Claire Sing, loved acting

August 14, 2023

Julia “Julie” Claire Sing, 31, of Lewes, passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, due to sudden heart failure. She was born June 3, 1992, in Lewes, daughter of Cathy Sing and the late Tony Sing.

Being the youngest among three siblings, Julie entered the world, adding the final piece to the Sing family puzzle. During her childhood, she gained a reputation for her infectious laughter, remarkably kind nature and fiery red hair. Beyond being a devoted daughter, Julie exemplified roles as a compassionate life partner, a loyal sister, an exceptional aunt and an unwavering friend. In the local community, Julie found her love and gift for acting at Clear Space Theatre Camp, where she was in the first production of “A Christmas Carol.” Julie played the role of Lady Liberty in the annual Fourth of July Doo-Dah Parade. Moreover, she held an invaluable place within Hotel Blue that cannot be replaced.

Julie loved sharing moments with her family and friends, relishing each interaction. A dependable confidante, she could always be relied upon, standing by your side when you needed her most. Among her cherished connections, her niece, Darby, held a special place; their bond was a testament to the friendship they shared. Julie loved animals, especially her yellow lab, Summer.

Julie leaves behind her mother, Cathy Sing, residing in Lewes; along with her brother, Jake Sing (Molly MacMillan) of Milford; her sister, Mary (Brian) Fleming of Milford; and her cousin, Haley Harmon (Jason). She is also survived by her niece, Darby and her life partner Anthony Lynch and daughter Jordan, of Lewes. In addition, Julie is remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished, lifelong friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Tony Sing, whom she adored.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes, where visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Following the services, a celebration of Julie’s life will be held in the Lewes Room at Irish Eyes, 213 Anglers Road, Lewes.
