Justin’s Beach House 5K and 2-Mile Walk attracts a thousand

Justin Jennings Foundation offers respite for families with cancer

The Justin’s Beach House 5K and 2-Mile Walk attracted just under 1,000 participants to downtown Bethany Beach May 26, with 646 completing the 5K run and the rest of the ramblers electing the two-mile walk.

Ethan Burbridge, 22, of College Park, Md., was the overall male winner in 17:15.

Natalie Trait, 37, from Landenberg, Pa., was the women’s winner in 19:26.

The top 11 runners were all male and ran under 19:19 for the race.

Andrew Palese won the male masters in 18:58. Faith Foxwell of Millville was the female masters winner in 23:18.

The two-mile timed walk was won by Michelle Rivest in 22:41.

Justin’s Beach House is a respite home for families dealing with cancer. The house is a place for a family to relax and unwind.

Justin Jennings was born in 1980 and diagnosed with a brain tumor in July 1998. Justin died June 25, 2000. His life story and news of the Justin Jennings Foundation can be found at www.justinjennings.org.
