Kenneth Davis Jr., lifelong contractor
Kenneth Davis Jr., 64, of Millsboro, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at Beebe Healthcare, Lewes. He was born in Alloway, N.J., Aug. 1, 1959, son of the late Kenneth and Katherine (Hitchner) Davis.
Kenneth married the love of his life, Carrie Davis, Dec. 28, 1990, in Millsboro, and the two would spend the next 34 years together creating countless memories and raising their family.
He enjoyed a lifelong career as a contractor in the construction industry, a job he found both rewarding and challenging at times. Kenneth's hobbies were always active and constructive. He loved woodworking and was the ultimate handyman. His love of gourmet cooking was appreciated and enjoyed by the family, and will be greatly missed. What he treasured more than anything was spending time with his family. Kenneth was a loving and devoted husband, stepfather, brother, and friend. His presence will be deeply and genuinely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carrie Davis; his stepchildren, Robert Scott Andell and Shaina Lynn Andell; his siblings, David Davis of Millsboro, Mary Ellen Trax of Dallas, Ga., Diane Davis (Michael) of Dunedin, Fla., Kathleen Davis (Bryan Prevatil) of Millsboro, and JoAnn Davis (Richard Eikner) of Wilmington; and his seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 13, at the Community Church of Oak Orchard, 32615 Oak Orchard Road, Millsboro.
