Kenneth R. Owens, Air Force retiree

Kenneth R. Owens, 86, formerly of Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, passed away Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, in Berryville, Va.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Fox (Mark) of Leesburg, Va.; his son, Jeffrey K. Owens (Sandy) of Churchill, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Georgianna Fox-Pulley, Megan Fox and Justin Fox. He leaves behind his beloved cat, Lester.
After 32 years of service as a USAF squadron commander, Col. Ken retired to Rehoboth Beach and began building custom homes. His community service interests included serving as president of Talleyville Fire Department in Wilmington and as a deputy state fire marshall.
Final arrangements will be private at a later date.
