Kenneth T. Morris Sr., Dirt Works retiree
Kenneth T. Morris Sr., 55, known as Kenny, peacefully departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 10, with his loved ones surrounding him.
Kenny was born July 23, 1968, in Lewes, son of Winston T. Morris Jr. and Grace Jackson (Drain). He attended Cape schools and grew up on Shady Road in Lewes.
Kenny was a dedicated heavy equipment operator who finished his career of 25 years at Dirt Works Inc. His favorite pastimes were hanging out with his family, being outside, and working on cars, trucks, or a tractor.
If you ever rode down Shady Road, you could find Kenny outside working on something. He loved spending time with his family and absolutely loved his children and grandchildren. If you ever needed a listening ear or advice, you knew to call Kenny. He was a loving father, friend, grandfather, son, and fiancé.
He was preceded in death by his father, Winston T. Morris Sr. Kenny is survived by his fiancée, Marci of Lewes; his children, Kayleigh (Brett) of Millsboro, and Kenny Jr. (Amanda) of Lewes; his mother, Grace Jackson (Drain) of Harbeson; and his grandchildren, Delilah and Penelope Jackson, Hayden Wells, and Mason Morris; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 20, at Watson Funeral Home & Crematorium, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, with a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Israel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lewes. There will be a repass for Kenny at noon, Saturday, Oct. 21, in Lewes.
