KSI volunteers recognized by Delaware Veterans Home

June 2, 2024

KSI volunteers were among those recognized by the Delaware Veterans Home at a recent ceremony. Volunteers from KSI have served at DVH for nine years, accumulating over 13,000 hours of service.

Volunteering and community exploration are integral parts of KSI’s pre-vocational training program. Volunteer experiences help participants develop skills necessary for employment, and volunteering is also good for the soul. KSI program participants appreciate giving back to the community and enjoy the ongoing relationships developed with residents and staff at the DVH.

KSI is a private, not-for-profit agency providing vocational training, employment, community integration, transportation, day habilitation, life enrichment and nutritional services to individuals with disabilities in Sussex and Kent counties since 1962. KSI is committed to making all reasonable accommodations in order to ensure that its programs and services are as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.
