KSI Women of Empowerment group gathers for tea party

July 7, 2024

Celebrating their one-year anniversary, members of the KSI group Women of Empowerment recently gathered for an afternoon tea party.

Organized by KSI Case Manager Nancy Warren, the group has been meeting biweekly for the past year, and she said participants look forward to what the next year brings.

Learning how to accept, support and encourage one another, these Women of Empowerment also gave back to their community in a variety of ways. They donated to the Food Bank of Delaware and Home of the Brave. The Genesis Center received holiday cards and a visit, while the Delaware Veterans Home also received a visit and placemats with messages of thanks to residents for their service. The women’s group also learned about and visited the Community Crisis Center.

KSI is a nonprofit agency that provides vocational training, employment, community integration, transportation, day habilitation, life enrichment and nutritional services to individuals with disabilities throughout Sussex and Kent counties.
