Kudos to the Lewes BPW for sponsoring the first semiannual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Sept. 20. It seems that most households accumulate unwanted and old paint, stains, and other toxic materials, which pose a dilemma regarding their safe disposal.
Our thanks to Wendell Alfred and the other board members of BPW for providing the depository for these materials - a big step in the right direction for preserving our environment. This is a fine example of a public service that was provided to the Lewes community!

Authors may submit a second letter within that time period if it pertains to a different issue. Letters may not be critical of personalities or specific businesses. Criticism of public figures is permissible. Endorsement letters for political candidates are no longer accepted. Letters must be the author’s original work, and may not be generated by artificial intelligence tools. Templates, form letters and letters containing language similar to other submissions will not be published.
