Lawrence Michael Quigley, enjoyed music, playing guitar

Lawrence “Larry” Michael Quigley passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2024. He was born in Norristown, Pa., May 9, 1949, the sixth of seven children. Larry grew up in Conshohocken, Pa., where he played basketball and football. He attended St. Matthew’s Catholic School, Archbishop Kennedy High School, and Villanova University.

Larry enjoyed listening to music and playing the guitar. Whether boating or sitting on the beach, he felt at peace being on the water, and he loved spending time with his wife, family, and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Catherine Quigley; and his sisters, Barbara, Patsy and Dolores. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Peggy Quigley (nee Ortega); and his children and their spouses, Sean and Season Quigley (nee Rhinier), Megan Ciavarelli (nee Quigley), and Dennis and Clare Brown (nee Quigley). He was adored by his eight grandchildren, Hannah (Joe Porter), Kayla, Colin, Emma, Sara, Aidan, Meara and Mairead. A great light in his life was his great-granddaughter, Sophia Porter. He is also survived by his brothers, Jim (Annemarie) and Charlie (Carol) Quigley; his sister, Michelle Quigley; his brother-in-law, Alfred Ortega, his lifelong friend, George Dougherty; and his many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service in Larry’s honor will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 8, at Joseph Levine & Sons, 1002 W. Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, Pa., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
