Legacy Academy to host open house Feb. 14

Legacy Academy, the only classical Christian school in Sussex County, will hold an open house from 8:30 to 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14. Prospective families with students who will be in kindergarten through eighth grade for the 2025-26 academic year can tour the school’s campus in Georgetown, meet Legacy students and faculty, and learn more about the classical model of education.

“Open houses are a great way to experience the classical difference,” said Karen Barbrow, head of school. “Families can discover the truth, goodness and beauty we hold out for our students at Legacy Academy.”

Attendees are invited to join Legacy students for morning assembly. Then, Legacy administration will conduct an information session for parents while students shadow classes with their peers.

“At Legacy, we are confident you will see the distinctiveness of our quality Christian education,” said Barbrow. “We encourage others to consider joining us as we shape the hearts and minds of our students. Legacy is grounded and growing, because families want more for their children’s education.”
