Gallery One announced its Let the Sun Shine In exhibition will be open to the public from Thursday, April 2, through Tuesday, May 6, at 32 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View.
‘Breaking Light” artist Laura Hickman said, “Cloudy, dreary days are never appreciated by me when on my travels, but when the sun breaks through and begins shining brightly, all is good.”
“Walking down a sandy path and seeing the sun about to set over the water is always a visual delight,” said Dale Sheldon of her acrylic, “Early Evening Sunset.
Marybeth Paterson said she always experiences a thrill when, after a day of painting, she gets to see a beautiful sailboat catching the last sunlight of the day as illustrated in her peaceful oil painting, “Afternoon at Pilottown Marina.”
For Lesley McCaskill in her acrylic painting, “Awe Spring,” and Cindy Beyer, in her pastel, "Iridescence," spring beautifully changes the landscape with the colorful first blossoms and warmth of the weather.
"Breaking Through” artist Eileen Olson said “[The painting] explores the connection between sunlight and its metaphorical significance as a force for transformation and revelation. It symbolizes the journey of overcoming darkness and embracing positivity and clarity. The bursts of white and lighter tones represent rays of sunlight piercing through shadowy areas, embodying illumination and the transformative power of light.”
