Let your artistic side show at My Ceramics Studio

July 11, 2024

My Ceramics Studio is a visually pleasing ceramic paint studio near Millsboro.

Individuals can go into the store, pick out any ceramic of their choosing, select the appropriate paint and let their creative side show. All ceramic pieces are made in house.

“It's a craft, so they just come in and paint,” said owner Rebecca Rickrode.

The inventory and/or options of ceramic pieces change constantly. The business will also accept special requests and repairs.

“Almost anything you can think of, we have it,” said Robert Rickrode, Rebecca’s son.

The business will take ceramic pieces to local daycares for young kids to get in on the fun. My Ceramics Studio also hosts birthday parties that include a ceramic piece, pizza, cupcakes and drinks.

Rebecca and Robert’s passion for ceramics began with making ornaments to sell to Rebecca’s factory co-workers. This developed into a ceramic shop that was operating out of their personal home. They officially opened My Ceramics Studio in its current location seven years ago.

Looking into the future, they aim to expand their inventory and/or options for customers. The duo feels the current location is a perfect fit.

My Ceramics Studio looks to host and participate in various fundraisers throughout the year.

“We try to give back to the community,” said Rebecca. “They are the ones who keep us going.”
