Lewes Beach parking lot repaved in time for summer

The lot at the end of Savannah Road is the larger of the city’s two public parking lots at the beach.
Despite only the beachfront parking spaces being striped April 27, the city opened the lot for weekend visitors.
Just in time for the summer season, Lewes’ main beach parking lot has a fresh surface. Crews finished striping the lot earlier this week, and it reopened to the public.
Cost for the project is estimated at $255,000.
