Lewes BPW customers can earn $100 for appliance recycling 

For a limited time, Efficiency Smart is doubling the reward for Lewes Board of Public Works customers who responsibly recycle an eligible appliance.

Lewes BPW customers who schedule a free pickup of their old appliances by Saturday, Sept. 30, will receive a $100 reward per appliance recycled. Eligible appliances include working refrigerators, freezers, window air conditioners and dehumidifiers.

In addition to the $100 reward for each unit responsibly recycled, residents will also save on their utility bill from no longer running an older appliance.

To schedule free pickup times, Lewes customers can call 888-997-9106 or go to efficiencysmart.org/lewes-delaware and select Appliance Recycling Rewards.

Efficiency Smart is offered through Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation’s energy-efficiency program for the benefit of its member communities.
