Lewes library to host historical fiction writing workshop June 15

Bestselling author L.M. Elliott and publishing expert Peter Malone Elliott will present a writing workshop, Creating and Publishing Good Historical Fiction, at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 15, at Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes.

Participants will learn how to research and write unique, captivating, authentic and commercially viable historical fiction. Topics will include finding characters, themes and plot twists in primary documents; conducting research and interviews; creating authentic dialogue; avoiding clichés; and more. Advice and best practices for marketing, writing an agent/publisher query and working with publishers will also be discussed.
