The Lewes Lions Club recently held an installation ceremony for incoming officers for 2017-18. Charles Covington was elected president. Kathy Engel was elected club secretary. Nancy Russ will be first vice president, and Glenn Kohr will be second vice president. Also installed were Treasurer Michele Jessup; directors Peter Dirks, Robert Adams, Kat Schmitz, and Bailey Maull; and Membership Chair Lloyd Schmitz, Lion Tamer Beth Hicks and Tail Twister Jeff Mitchell.
Covington said, "I am looking forward to leading various projects and continuing the Lewes Lions Club's commitment to serving the community."
Since the club's chartering in 1946, members have worked on a variety of community projects including annual scholarships awarded to high school seniors, glasses and hearing aids for the needy, food baskets for the needy, park benches and bus shelters, and many more.
