The Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary Club recently donated $1,000 to the new Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Sussex Campus, to be located on the Bayhealth Sussex Campus in Milford.
Currently under construction, the Nemours Sussex Medical Office Building is slated to open at the end of 2020. Practitioners will offer primary pediatric and expanded specialty care to families in Sussex and Kent counties. The existing Nemours pediatric primary care facility in Milford will remain open until it moves to this new 35,000-square-foot home.
Pediatric primary care, provided from birth to 18 years old, includes everything from well-child checkups to sick-child care and immunizations. The Nemours pediatric medical team includes doctors and nurses, care coordinators, psychologists, social workers and lactation consultants. Some staff members are also bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish.
Pediatric specialty care areas to be provided at the new campus include allergy, behavioral health, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general surgery, neurology, orthopedics, otolaryngology/ENT, pulmonology, urology and weight management.
Rotary's mission is to make the greater Lewes community a better place to live, work, go to school and raise a family through both service and fundraising projects. The club meets at 5:15 p.m. every Monday for dinner at the Children’s Beach House in Lewes. Community-spirited individuals are invited to attend.
