Lewes resident travels to advocate for Special Olympics

Donna Walton of Lewes, a member of the Special Olympics Delaware Sussex Riptide program, took part in the annual Special Olympics Hill Day Feb. 6. She and athletes from all over the country traveled to Washington, D.C., to meet with their state's legislators to discuss the importance of supporting funding for Special Olympics health and education programs. Walton was able to meet with Sen. Chris Coons, Sen. Tom Carper and Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, all D-Del.
