Linda Susan Miller, devoted wife, mother
Linda Susan Miller, 75, devoted wife, amazing mom, spectacular Gramma, loving sister, compassionate friend, and super shopper, passed away the morning of Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, after 10 years of fighting Stage IV metastatic breast cancer.
She is survived by Tom, her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly 58 years; her children, Cheryl, Kevin and Karen; her sisters, Barbara and Carol; grandchildren, Rachael, Casey, Luke, Grace, Lucy, Patrick, Miles, Anna, Lindsay and Zoe; and great-grandchildren, Savannah, Cason, and Gio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Helen Stetson; her brother, Rick; and her son, Chris.
Linda was born in Oak Ridge, Tenn. She started dating Tom in high school and they were married in January 1966. Together they raised four children, and she was the best band mom, baseball mom, dance mom, and overall supporter of all things her kids and grandkids did and loved.
Linda and Tom moved to Lewes in 1978. She worked with Tom for over 35 years in the accounting practice, was active with Xi Sigma, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. She loved to garden, read, shop, listen to music, decorate for the holidays, travel, and play games with her family (as well as play a few games at the casinos).
She was the keeper and leader of many family traditions, and her presence, hugs, and support will be missed by all those who loved her. We are thankful for countless happy memories and will carry her love forever in our hearts.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 14, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, where visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m at the church. Burial will be private at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Pilottown Road, Lewes.
