The Lodge Art Gala lets its residents’ creativity shine

The Lodge at Historic Lewes held an art exhibit gala Aug. 3, showcasing a variety of works from several of its talented residents.
Exhibitors, attendees and residents also enjoyed a lively performance from a local band, The Senatones.
In a little more than a year since its opening, the Lewes Lodge has welcomed many seniors seeking resort-style living with abundant amenities and wellness programs.
The Lodge Art Gala was a special opportunity to share their inspirations and creativity with family, friends and the larger community, said Brett Gershman, recreation and events program director.
Miki Máthé and his wife Susan work as a team – he does the woodcarving, and she highlights the designs with paint.
Jon Joyce covers a wide range of styles and subjects in his photography.
Artist Karen Allen shows off a selection of her pastel paintings.
Christine Couturier specializes in quilling, an ancient art of rolling, shaping and gluing paper around a stiff cylinder to create decorative designs.
Nancy Reeves’ creative outlets include quilting, sketching and painting.
