Lodge at Truitt Homestead donates $9K to CAMP Rehoboth

September 25, 2021

The Lodge at Truitt Homestead raised $9,000 during its inaugural summer solstice event in June.

The senior lifestyle community donated all proceeds to CAMP Rehoboth, the area’s largest LGBT+ nonprofit advocacy organization.

The Lodge staff members decided it was best to put their money where their mouth was when they dedicated hours of employee time to becoming the area’s first Platinum-certified SAGECare senior living community. SAGECare provides advocacy and service to LGBT+ elders and is a division of SAGE, the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT+ older adults.

To celebrate Pride Month and the Lodge at Truitt Homestead’s commitment to LGBT+ eldercare, the facility hosted a fundraiser to benefit CAMP Rehoboth community center in June. With about 100 people in attendance bidding on silent auction items, plus raffles and cash donations, the event was a great success.
