Lord Baltimore Lions Club presents donation for vision research

The Lord Baltimore Lions Club invited District 22D PDG and Lions Vision Research Foundation Development Chair John J. Shwed to address its November meeting.

He informed club members of the work being done with low-vision patients at the Lions Vision Research Center, Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. It was interesting and exciting to learn about the innovations available to low-vision patients to assist them in their daily lives.

Since 1988, Lord Baltimore Lions have committed to support the essential work of caring and research in low vision. The club now holds Vision Day collections annually to secure donations for the Lions Vision Research Center. This year, the total was greatly enhanced by a personal donation from Lord Baltimore Lions Club member and Past District Gov. Mary Lee Phillips.
