Lucille Anne Deiaco, longtime nurse

Lucille Anne Deiaco, 94, of Milford, passed away Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at Little Sisters of the Poor in Newark. She was born June 2, 1929, in Tyler, Pa., daughter of the late Rocco and Michela Deiaco. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Cosmo (known as “Kelly”), Carmen, Vincent, Mary, Ida, Alice and Jenny. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and -nephews.

Lucille enjoyed a lifelong career as a registered nurse, a job she found most rewarding, and dedicated her life to helping others. Faith was a pillar in her life, and she was an active member of St. John The Apostle Church and a professed member of the Secular Order Franciscans. Above all, time spent with her friends and family was what she treasured most.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16, at St. Jude The Apostle Church, Lewes. Friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow services at Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Road, Milton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Lucille’s memory to Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.
