I read with surprise the Cape Gazette report that Commissioner Don Preston has resigned. Finding a replacement should be straightforward. The candidates in the last election should comprise the short list of replacement persons to be considered. They constitute the persons most interested, willing and committed to serve as commissioners.
Because you have appointed Mark Saunders to the board of adjustment, it is appropriate to select Rachel Macha, the other 2024 commissioner candidate, to fill out the term.
