Two nice people won the 10th annual Tommy Coveleski 5K, held Oct. 22 along the Forgotten Mile in Rehoboth Beach.
Bryan Mack, 33, captured the overall title in 19:09, while Bethany Wright, 28, placed fifth overall and won the women’s championship with a time of 21:30.
There were 81 finishers in the race, which benefits the Sussex Consortium, where Tommy worked as a physical education teacher.
Mack won the race for the third year in a row, while Wright won for the second time in the last three years, having placed a close third in 2022 behind Michele Karsnitz and Sarah Richards when it was a 10K.
Masters winners were Chris Schellinger, 42, in 22:53 and Tanya Karaman, 53, in 23:03.
