I'm writing concerning the new roundabout and the light on Route 9, which are both right outside of my development of Henlopen Landing. I was on Route 1 recently just trying to get home from the bank when I and all of the other traffic on Route 1 were stuck sitting there through an entire green light rotation. This is because of two reasons. One being that people cannot/do not read the signs that say "Do Not Block the Intersection.” If you can't/don't read, then you shouldn't be driving. The other reason is because someone decided that keeping the light on Route 9 was a good idea. I knew that wasn't a good idea, and, no, I'm not an engineer. The Route 9 light causes traffic to back up so badly coming off Plantation Road that, at times, I can't even get onto the roundabout; and at times, the traffic backs up so badly coming off of Route 1 because of that light, that the entire lane to get to the roundabout gets backed up onto the highway. And so, I will be avoiding this newest iteration of Malfunction Junction when at all possible.
