Marcia Helen Tooley, pediatric therapist
Marcia Helen Tooley, 73, a longtime resident of Milton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
Marcia was born in Bellevue, Pa., daughter of the late Daniel W. and Helen Molter.
Marcia was a pediatric physical therapist, and most recently contracted with Child Development Watch through the State of Delaware. Marcia was passionate about her work and had a strong work ethic. She worked tirelessly with her small clients and their families whom she loved dearly. Despite struggling with many health issues of her own, she continued her work up until her death, developing creative, individualized strategies to better serve her clients' needs.
Marcia was a selfless, dedicated and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially at the beach. Marcia was very involved in the lives of her two daughters and enjoyed supporting their activities throughout her life. She also loved animals; she rescued many directly and volunteered with animal rescue organizations.
Marcia attended Crossroad Community Church. She loved the Lord, and sought His guidance, giving Him praise for the blessing of overcoming many health issues over the years.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John M. Tooley; daughters Lauren Tooley and Melissa Tooley; son-in-law Daniel Mazmanian; granddaughters Kira Mazmanian and another due in December. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel A. Molter.
