The Margo Vaughn Book Club in The Glade celebrated its 20th anniversary Sept. 24 at 1776 Steakhouse.
Over the years, from 1998 to the present, members have read and discussed 137 books.
The club started with nine members, and five of them are still active. Original members Maureen Burridge, Marjorie Mounts, Kathleen Pedersen and Jan Turner were present. Catherine Priest, the fifth remaining original member, could not attend.
New members are always welcome. The Margo Vaughn Book Club is the oldest organization in The Glade.
