Mariner Middle School students visit Philadelphia

Eighth-grade students from Mariner Middle School traveled to Philadelphia Nov. 14. They visited the National Constitution Center, where they witnessed a multimedia presentation, "Freedom Rising," about the writing and signing of the U.S. Constitution.

In The Story of We the People exhibit hall, students explored photographs and artifacts. In Signers’ Hall, students were able to mingle with 42 life-sized bronze statues of the Founding Fathers.

The visit ended with a walk through the city and seeing historical landmarks such as the the Franklin Mint, the Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin’s grave and Christ Church.
