Mariner student creates exceptional quarantine art piece

May 11, 2020

Mariner Middle School eighth-grader Alessandra Broussard has taken remote learning and creating to a whole new level during the school closure.

Mariner art teacher Linda Rapchak tasked her students to create art on or from empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls. Students had to use their creativity and craftsmanship to create something unique and eye-catching.

Rapchak said, “Alessandra’s creation shows that her eye for detail, her patience with all that cutting, and her craftsmanship are just incredible when put together! It’s very impressive!” Alessandra not only showed off her art skills in the creation of this piece, but also her talent in photography with the lighting and angle of capturing the photo.
