Mary Agnes Manyak, owned real estate firm
Mary Agnes Manyak, 93, of Lewes, passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at The Moorings at Lewes. She was born Feb. 9, 1931, in Sparrows Point, Md., daughter of the late Bengt “Fred” and Louise Swahn.
Mary Agnes started her professional career as a registered nurse, receiving her degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She worked for several years at Johns Hopkins Hospital before starting her family. Mary Agnes began a second career in real estate, becoming first an agent and then a broker. She owned the Crowell Agency in Fair Haven, N.J., for many years. In her spare time, Mary Agnes enjoyed reading, cooking for her family, and traveling the world, visiting over 35 countries. She was an avid pet lover.
Mary Agnes is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Anthony “Tony” Manyak; and their daughters, Karen Manyak and Laura Manyak of Colorado, and Christine Manyak of New Jersey. In addition to her parents, Mary Agnes is preceded in death by her brother, Fredrick H. Swahn of Maryland.
Services will be private.
